Connect your encoder
Stream to your aranova.cloud channel from OBS Studio, vMix or Zoom: where the stream URL and key live and how to paste them into each app.
Every aranova.cloud event is a channel with its own streaming credentials: a stream URL and a stream key. Your broadcasting app —the encoder— sends the signal to that address with that key, and aranova.cloud publishes it on the event page.
That is all you need: the encoder you already use and the event's two credentials.
Where the credentials are
- Sign in to the dashboard and open Events.
- Open the event you want to stream to.
- While the event is not receiving a signal, its player box shows the Connect your encoder panel with the stream URL and the stream key.
- Copy each value with its copy button. The key is masked: press the eye to reveal it.
If the event is already live, the box shows the player instead of the credentials. Stop the stream in your encoder and they will come back.
The stream key is a secret: anyone holding it can broadcast on your channel. Do not share or publish it. If it leaks, change it in the event details.
Pick your guide
- Stream with OBS Studio — the most widely used free encoder, on Windows, macOS and Linux. Ideal when you stream from a single computer.
- Stream with vMix — professional Windows production, with camera mixing, titles and up to three simultaneous destinations.
- Stream with Zoom — send a Zoom meeting or webinar to your channel without installing anything else.
Before you go live
- Streaming must be enabled. If the event details show streaming as blocked, the channel will not accept a signal.
- Mind your bitrate. A bitrate above your upload capacity causes dropouts; a steady 720p beats a 1080p that stutters.
- Use a 2-second keyframe. That is the interval the packager expects when segmenting; other values add latency.
- Test first. Stream for a couple of minutes, check the result on the public page, and only then tell your audience.
