Stream with vMix

vMix is a professional video mixer for Windows: cameras, titles, video playback and recording in one program. It supports up to three independent streaming destinations, so you can send your signal to your aranova.cloud channel and to other platforms at the same time with no extra setup.

1. Copy the event credentialsCopy anchor link

1. In the dashboard, open Events and go into the event you want to stream to.
2. Copy the stream URL and the stream key from the Connect your encoder panel.

2. Set the destination in vMixCopy anchor link

1. Open vMix and click the gear icon next to the Stream button.
2. In the streaming window you will see numbered buttons 1, 2 and 3: each one is a separate destination. Stay on 1.
3. In the destination list, choose Custom RTMP Server. aranova.cloud is not a preset: the custom destination is the one that accepts your credentials.
4. Fill in the two fields:
   • URL — the event stream URL.
   • Stream Name/Key — the event stream key.
5. Click OK.

To use destinations 2 and 3, repeat the process on each tab with that platform's own credentials.

3. Tune the qualityCopy anchor link

In the same streaming window, click the gear icon in the quality section to open its settings:

Strict CBR keeps the bitrate constant and Keyframe aligned lines up keyframes across destinations: with both on, the live stream handles motion peaks far better and the player switches quality without jumps.

Click Save to close.

4. Go liveCopy anchor link

1. Click Stream in vMix.
2. In the dashboard the event turns Live and its player shows the signal.
3. Your audience watches it on the event's public page.

5. Stop the streamCopy anchor link

Click Stream again (now Stop) in vMix. The event returns to Offline.

If something goes wrongCopy anchor link

• vMix will not connect — check that destination 1 is the selected tab and that the URL includes the full protocol (rtmp://).
• The key gets cut when pasted — vMix's field is visually short; paste with Ctrl+V and verify the end of the string.
• The stream stutters — turn on Strict CBR and Keyframe aligned, lower the bitrate, or switch the encoder to hardware.
• The second destination will not start — each destination needs its own credentials; do not reuse the aranova.cloud key on another platform.
